Red, Green, White and Black.
The UAE first hoisted their flag on 2nd December 1971. To mark the UAE Year of the Fiftieth, we designed the limited edition UAE 1971 Hand-dyed, Self-Striping Yarn series, manufactured by Urth, using the colours of the flag for inspiration.
UAE 1971 is made of the finest merino wool and is almost as gorgeously fine and soft as cashmere by both look and touch.
You’ll find it ideal for knitting gorgeous statement shawls and wraps, as well as delicate boleros and berets.
Available in 4 ply
weights, each hand-dyed skein is beautiful and unique.
What do the colours mean?
Red represents courage, bravery, hardiness, strength, and unity.
Green represents prosperity, hope, joy, love, and optimism.
White represents honesty, peace, and purity.
Black stands for the defeat of enemies and strength of mind.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that the colors shown in a product image may differ from the physical item. This can be due to reasons such as, but not limited to, color display of your screen and variation in manufacturing dye lots. Colors may also differ if the item is hand-dyed or is a recycled item. Kindly review all specifications carefully prior to making a purchase. If you have any questions, please contact us. Also note this yarn is in hank form which needs to be wound into a ball or cake prior to use. If you don't have a ball winder or the time to wind the hank yourself, we offer a hank winding service
